Somewhere we went wrong. We were once so strong.
------------------------------------
So much work. Too many papers. Kasper glanced up at the clock on the wall of his loft, sighing and running a hand through his already messy hair. It was hard work being a teacher sometimes. Pushing away the papers, he sighed and glanced around the room. He needed a change of scenery, a break. School was starting soon, and that was putting more stress on him. Thinking about places he could go, the sudden idea of coffee sounded like the best plan. It didn't wake him up like it did other people, it relaxed him and he needed it especially around this time of the year. Sitting back in the ever growing uncomfortable seat, he groaned inwardly at all of the paperwork he had to finish, and the fact that he hadn't left his house in almost two days. School hadn't even started yet and he was already up to his neck in papers. Shaking his head, he reminded himself why he loved teaching before he grabbed his coat and keys, leaving through the front door.
It's oddly quiet at this time of night he thought, checking his watch to see how late it was. He thought that it would have been more crowded at a quarter past ten, but people were probably busy getting ready for school and catching up on their sleep they didn't get during the summer. He himself had been pretty busy during the summer, forgetting his duty as a new teacher and goofing off like he used to. Sleeping around and getting up at three was how he had spent most of his days, and he was suffering for it now. Though it wouldn't affect him too badly, he still managed to look rested and of course he loved teaching. It was what he was meant to do, and no matter how much he loved to goof off he still loved to wake up early every morning and teach. Though he would never know why.
Driving past a few cafe's and the ever popular Starbucks, he could see the crowds of people in there from his car. Not really feeling up to the crowds, he drove past it and parked in one of his favorite places, Barnes and Noble. He was surprised to see it was basically empty, except for a few last minute kids buying their school books or girls gossiping over the latest celebrity trash magazine. He simply took his time, taking in the scenery of the huge amount of books before casually walking over to the cafe area. "One decaffeinated coffee, please. Black and two sugars," he replied, flashing the young girl a friendly smile, watching as she prepared it like he had asked. Paying her, he turned and walked along the rows of books, simply relishing in the warm feeling he got in his chest from the hot liquid and wondering if he should read something. The last time he had read an actual book was a while ago, and he had no idea what was good or popular right now. Pulling out a book on the theory of scientific analysis, a book he had read about twenty times, he sat down in one of the hard chairs near the back, opening to a random chapter, not really taking in anything.
Instead he let his thoughts wander, occasionally bringing the cup to his lips trying to ignore the fact that he was slightly lonely. Of course he had many options, such as going to a club and finding a girl there. Or calling one of the many girls that he had in his "little black book." The guys were also an option, but none of those choices seemed.. appealing at the moment. Sighing again, he looked up at a passing girl, who flashed him a more-then-friendly smile. He returned a lopsided grin before it disappeared behind his cup, one that girls seemed to love. It was amazing how shallow humans could be, attracted to looks and wanting to know a person based on how they appear instead of getting to actually know them. Of course Kasper was the same way, but it still amazed him how many women he attracted just because he was blessed with good looks. Placing his cup on the table, he looked down at the large book, not even noticing that another person had been watching him him and was now walking over.

[/color] well behaved women never make history Analeigh was a little less than thrilled about the fact that before long she was going to have to go back to school. She was having so much fun doing whatever she wanted whenever she wanted that going back to school was going to throw off her entire 'fun' schedule, and that was a little more than upseting for Analeigh. She was so used to going to bed late and getting up late that the thought of getting up at 8 in the morning everyday to go to class almost made her sick. But she knew that she was going to have to put up with the early classes, and the long hours if she wanted to become a doctor, and that was definitely what she wanted.
She was sitting in the apartment she was living in, with her older brother, for the summer. Analeigh still hadn't moved into the penthouse she rented during the school year, but that was on her to-do list. At the moment she really wasn't doing too much of anything, and being that bored was actually killing her. She sighed as she flopped down onto the couch, as she stared at the ceiling trying to think of something that she could do to make everything seem a little more exciting, but so far she had absolutely nothing in mind. She sighed again as she sat up and rested her cheek in the palm of her right hand. Her brother was out partying, and she hated being i the apartment alone. But this left Analeigh to wonder why she wasn't out partying herself, she could've been but what was the point? She'd have to get ready to go out and that was too time consuming, plus she was a little too lazy for that.
Analeigh stood up and it came to her that she wanted to read. Yea, it was probably the most random epiphany that Analeigh had really ever had. But the problem with Analeigh reading was the fact that she didn't have any books that she hadn't read several times already. So there it was, her plan for her night... Going to Barns and Nobel. How exciting for a summer night when she could be out getting crunk with her friends. Analeigh didn't understand why she was being so anti-social, and she didn't particularly like it... But she was set on being lazy, and kind of a nerd. She gathered her bag, keys and a bottle of water and then she left the apartment. She, herself, didn't have a car - she didn't need one - but her brother had one, and always let her use it. Things worked out for Analeigh that night because Matt was out drinking so he didn't need the car, therefore she was able to use it, and do whatever the frigg she wanted to. Which was what Analeigh loved to do anyways - so it all fit.
It didn't take long for Ana to make it to the book store. She parked and locked the car and made her way into the nearly empty book store. Exactly as she liked it. She didn't need anyone to know that she was a pretty big nerd. She made her way to the coffee shop and ordered a large black currant tea, and a muffin. Analeigh could never pass up a muffin, but who doesn't love a good muffin? Analeigh took her drink and snack, paid and then wandered into the rows and rows of books. She started looking at books, reading the backs and setting them back on the shelves. Nothing really interested her so she decided to move onto a different section it was then that Analeigh saw him sitting, reading a book and drinking his coffee. He was such a fox. She stared for a moment, but didn't want to seem too weird so she picked up a book, and started reading the back. Strangely it was interesting, and the exact same book that Kasper had in his hands, although Analeigh wasn't aware of this. She picked it up and walked over to the chair that was placed next to the guy. She put her tea down on the table and opened up the book. She could only wish that he would talk to her, but she didn't know how lucky she'd be. So she decided to take things into her own hands. "Good book?" she asked as she looked over at him It was kind of lame, but she couldn't think of anything better than than. Which completely sucked....
