College life. It was more than one of those box office flops that tried to portay online campus. The raging parties, the sex crazied teenagers and a whole of fun and STI's along the way with drunken nude memories to last a life time. It made it look like a laugh riot. Like all of the teachers where helpful and cool, that everybody got along in the end and the biggest lie of all... it wasn't so easy to pass.. Lucky for her she did a trade. A service.. whatever they chose to call it up here. Books and whatever weren't a big part of it, more about putting your hands to good use. Which she was sure most of the boys in her class did! Dirty humor. Nice thing about College life. In amougest all of the chaos you could find something to laugh about if you look hard enough, and at this point in time Vanessa Benjamin had to look pretty hard.
It was that god damn time of the year again when she'd have to get focused and start reading boring ass long books about a subject she already knew a lot about. It was theory time. When you had to put paper to pen and start writing. That's not what autoshop should be about. A good mechanic should know how to change a tyre not write an essay, pimp out the car not scribble on a piece of paper. She couldn't consernate in her dorm room. Too many distractions where there. It seemed like she had to make a daring escape. Heck, she wouldn't even take the book with her. It's not like she was going to study anyway. She knew the book front to back anyway.. or at least knew what she wanted to know. There was no way she could fail. She knew everything about cars. Grew up around them. Her father was a frickin' profession race car driver for gods sake! She was going to be fine.
Picking up her handbag, she ruffled around to search for her car keys and sped off. Deciding to take a drive into town. But what for? Hm. It was around eight something at night. It was too early to go out partying, besides she had classes tomorrow.. what could she do? Urgh. It was then the lightbulb flashed in her pretty little head. Starbucks. Coffee was not only a good pick me up but it was also just an excuse to drive a little futhur away from campus. Pulling up into the car park, she was surprised to see how many empty spaces where left. It wasn't that late.. was it? Was her clock fast or something? Mays as well check if its open anyway. Maybe the College students could just be settling in or something. They where usually the only ones to be seen at the shops at this time of night. She had a quiet time at home this summer, well, kind of. She had spent most of her time sleeping in her room until her step mother left for work. God, she hated her. The mother shouldn't have even been attached to her step.
Wandering into the one of the many starbucks in America she looked around. It seemed that a bomb had been dropped. Almost nobody was there. All expect the workers and a few figures that were placed around. It was a different experience to come here near closing time. Looking at the cashiers she gently smiled, getting prepared to be extra nice when she noticed there annoyed faces. Ordering her Vienna she tipped extra nicely hoping that they wouldn't let anyone spit in her drink because they wanted to go home. Leaning on the counter, she looked around the room. The first thing that caught her eye was the attractive, bored male who had caught the attention of the barista. She couldn't blame her he was a very attractive gentleman who returned the same affection. Rolling her eyes gently, she took the cup of coffee and muttered "Thank you, my dear". Wandering over to the man she took a small sip of her coffee and shot him a cheeky grin. "I'm sure next time you come in, she'll take half off for you." It was a open ended statement. That was rather bold and michvious thing to say to a stranger.
