paragraph:
Cale is built like an athlete, but doesn't have his full muscles, though he has good strength. He isn't overweight, and doesn't display much fat other than what is on everybody, and a little excess here and there. Cale works out enough to ensure his body stays the same, but he never works too hard to make himself ripped- he'd rather just be like he is. His legs are long and muscular, useful for walking and such, but that are normally covered by jeans or pajama pants. His arms aren't flimsy, but have some muscles to them, useful for picking things and people up when necessary. He is just about average all the way around.
Cale has a cute face, with all the necessities- a mouth, two eyes, a nose, and ears if you want to count them. Cale's eyes are dark brown, a very cute combination with his dark hair. He inherited his father's eyes, and pretty much is a clone of his father at a younger age. Cale doesn't think he's anything special looks-wise, but girls have been attracted to him before, so they might think differently. His face is soft and round, and his eyes stand out boldly. Cale likes to keep his hair short, because when it gets long he looks unclean, and that does not suit him.
Being lazy and casual by nature, you'll probably never see Cale in more than jeans and a t-shirt. He's not so lazy that he never keeps his clothes clean or 'in fashion', but he loves to be comfortable- and look good at the same time. He isn't 'poor', and can afford more than a lot of people when it comes to clothes. On weekends, if he has nothing huge to do, he'll probably wear pajamas the whole time. Even though Cale is very casual- he loves to dress up. Going out on special occasions is an excuse for Cale to dress up. Tuxes, dress pants and all- formal events are a playground for Cale.

[/b][/i][/center]history:
Cambree and Allen Hutchins met at a small diner that used to be where a night club is now in Providence, Rhode Island. They knew eachother's names, but had never really talked before that night. Cambree worked at the diner, a waitress trying to pay her way through college. A customer, someone she recognized as someone she had gone to school with before graduating, was a mister Allen Hutchins. He had been a big shot football star and had won a scholarship to a different university than where Cam had been taking classes. She had been a nerd, trying to get a scholarship, which she achieved, but she still had a lot more to pay. Their worlds had never collided during school, but they were about to now. She smiled as she approached him, remembering how number 13 looked in his uniform. Of course she had a crush on him back in the day- who wouldn't? She quickly took his order, and on her way back he asked her if she indeed go to the same high school as he did. Cam said yes, and sat down for a little while of reminiscing.
After a few laughs, dirty looks from her manager, and the exchanging of phone numbers and addresses, the two went their separate ways. Cambree kept the smile that he shot her in her mind for the rest of the night. The very next day, Allen left a note in her mailbox, ransoming her to meet him for coffee the next morning. She did, and they spent the whole day together, going back on old memories and creating new ones. After a few months of seeing eachother, a box of candy or a stuffed animal left here and there every few days, Allen decided to pop the question. Now, Allen came from a pretty wealthy family, and was preparing to graduate from college. He took the first week break off and whisked Cam away to the Caribbean for a week of nonstop romance. On the second to last night, Allen knelt down and displayed a lovely ring to Cambree, who of course said yes. It was a good thing, because soon after the vacation, Cambree found out she was pregnant.
A rushed wedding took place over the summer, just after Allen graduated high school. The wedding was nothing extravagant, but it was very classy. Cambree was due the next month with the couple's child, who they didn't want to know the gender of. Cambree was excited, because she had always wanted a child at an early age. Twenty-one was early enough for her. After numerous doctors visits, where they finally broke and found out their child was a boy, a few lahmaze classes, and a night of screaming in the hospital, Caleb Allen Hutchins was born. Caleb had always been a favorite name of his parents, and Allen was the name of his father. Cambree didn't have much family near Rhode Island, so it took a while for the new family to fit in with them.
Raising the family's son was hard on the family, because both parents were just starting out. There was always the Hutchins family fortune, but Allen refused to ask his parents for money this early in the boy's life. They arranged their hours of work and school so that Cale always had a parent with him, never a nanny, which helped him develop a lot faster than some children who grew up with a million different nannies. Allen and Cambree never fought, except a little misunderstanding here and there, which also helped the little boy grow. He was in a stable, loving home with both of his parents, a luxury known by very few kids his age. Cambree graduated college right before Cale turned one, meaning he'd have more time with his mother and father together. It was decided that Cam would become a stay at home mom, and if needed, get a job she could do from home.
Growing up was easy and fun with his parents, because even from an early age his mother and father did things with him on a daily basis. He fell into a routine with his mother waking him up at this time, doing this and that with him once a week, and then his parents putting him to sleep at night. Even from a young age he enjoyed this. As he started to get older, Cale became very fond of music and loved to play with his mother's silver pans when she didn't need them. Caleb also loved helping his mother cook and clean their spacious home. Allen worked away from home, so in Cale's earlier years he didn't see him much until he came home for dinner. Most times Allen would be tired, but never too tired to tuck him in at night. Cale thrived on the attention, but as school came near, he was ready for the transition.
Starting pre-school was a great experience for Cale. On the first few days, he'd hide behind Cambree's legs until his mother gently pushed him into the colorful room. After that push, he'd be in a world of blocks and music for the next few hours, and on the whole way home would talk nonstop about how the school hampster did this, and how his teacher read this book. Cambree always smiled and nodded as her son talked on and on. The rest of the days to follow would have the same thing, but with different news so that there would never be a dull moment on the rides home from preschool.
Kindergarten, on the other hand, was way better than preschool in Cale's oppinion. He went to a full day kindergarten, fully equipped with after-lunch naps, recess, and fingerpaint. He learned his letters and ABC's right along with everyone else in the class. Cale adored his teachers and his school, and soon lost the shyness he had displayed in pre-school. He'd wake his mother up at seven am, to get her up and ready to take him to school. By the end of the year, Cale couldn't wait until first grade!
That whole summer dragged by for Cale. He couldn't wait to see what the new grade had in store for him. Though, he did take part in tons of summer activities with his parents, like going swimming at one of Rhode Island's many beaches, and stuff like that. When first grade finally arrived, though, it brought an unpleasant surprise: homework. Cale refused to do the extra work sent home with him daily, causing problems at school. He never did agree to homework, but after some scolding he started to do it more often. Mostly he'd just copy it off one of the girls in his class in the morning. Josh was always the charmer, winking at a girl to give him her homework to copy. First grade ended with a small party at the end of the year, and by then, Cale was totally ready for summer.
For the next few years, the work got harder. Even at home, Cale had gotten a new little sister, Lauren. She was okay, but he didn't really like the sudden lack of attention he got from his parents. Cale was a smart boy, but he still refused to do his homework. By the time he graduated sixth grade, most of his teachers would look at him and say, "Hey, it's the kid who never did his homework.". Cale shrugged this off, and started junior high with a breeze. He'd become a real cutie over the summer, and became really popular with girls and guys alike. Joining the football team gave him brownie points with his dad, and a new after-school hobby. Cale wasn't that great, and barely made first-string, but it was enough to keep him one of the most popular boys in the school. As he entered eigth grade, his teachers scared him by saying he'd never graduate high school without doing his homework from there on in, and he started doing it again, getting on teacher's good sides. He even started getting girlfriends. Life was good.
Life took a turn for Cale when he was told by his parents early in the summer between eighth and ninth grade that he was moving. He was going to Ridgewood, New Jersey. He would be be freshman that fall. He sadly said goodbye to Warwick and hello to Ridgewood, New Jersey. Cale plans to move back, unless he has a reason not to.
After moving on to the ninth grade, Cale picked up something else. He started drinking over that summer and found it fun. He'd do it at summer parties and end up making out with some random girl when he was drunk, but he didn't lose his virginity until junior year. He stopped drinking every now and then but it never lasted long. Peer pressure killed him whenever he was offered a drink, and his parents never really found out because he'd crash at someone's house. By the end of junior year, he was still pretty popular, and he was a few months sober. Cale has a few drinks every now and then, but only on special occasions or if he was with people who ordered alcohol. Beginning senior year, Cale has tried to do the best he can in school in order to get into a good college and please his parents.
personality:
Having to sit and watch Barney the dinosaur on TV daily taught Cale some good manners. He says please and thank you, and acts like a perfect gentleman when he needs to be. Always trying to be a good friend, he'll never tell your secrets or problems to anybody, unless you give him the okay. Cale doesn't get shy around girls like some other guys his age, he just acts cool and collected- same as always, even around a girl he likes. One of the things that makes Cale happy is when he makes people laugh. He is forever trying to cheer people up with stupid jokes, which he takes pride in. The only way he won't give you a gentle and warm smile is if you're fighting or on bad terms with him, which is a whole different story.
Cale doesn't have a short fuse, and rarely gets very mad. He gets annoyed and frusterated, but never throw-something mad. He just thinks a lot, and stays quiet if you upset him. He isn't a wimp, but he does cry over things like rejection and break ups. Sadly, he holds grudges against people, but the grudges can be lifted with the right words. Cale is a people person, so if you ask him what's wrong, maybe the second time you ask him he will tell you, as long as you're one of his trusted friends or his girlfriend. If, by chance, you do suceed in getting Cale very mad, he's not gonna chase after you and beat you up. He'll just make rude remarks and fight back if you instigate with him. Cale isn't afraid of a fight, but would rather settle things in a different way than with violence, unless he's drunk.
Cale is a very caring person in all- but he does keep a lot to himself. He gets sad a lot- especially (obviously) when things aren't going his way. Refusing to tell people his problems is only the beginning- he'd rather hold everything inside and cry. He isn't emo, hasn't cut himself on purpose in his life- but he is overly sensitive, and gets sad pretty easily. Other people's problems give him a challenge- to help them become happier- but his are just little burdens that he feels nobody wants to waste their time hearing. What Cale really needs is a friend who will take the time to 'crack' him.

Cale walked slowly up the stairs of the girl's dormitories. He didn't want to risk being caught in an awkward conversation in the elevator with someone he didn't know - plus, who knew if he was even supposed to be in here? All he knew was that he was supposed to go up to Laila's dorm room for a sleepover with himself, Lexie and Laila. Cale moved quickly up the stairs, dodging a freshman- or atleast someone who looked like one as he jumped two and three stairs at a time. Now he remembered why he'd always used the elevator back home. These stairs were horrible, and by the time he reached the right landing he needed to stop and take a breath. He walked to the left of the stairs and pushed open the door to a balcony, probably there so that students could smoke if they wanted, and put his hands on the stone railing. The scent of night sky filled his nose and lungs, making him feel cool inside.
Upon going back inside, a pang of guilt ran through him. Cale hadn't thought of asking if Laila wanted him to bring anything. Should he go get something now? The excitement was getting a bit much for Cale. Finally, he confidently walked down the hallway and knocked on Laila's dorm door. If he had the wrong room, he'd be forever embarassed to show his face in here again. He scratched his head while waiting for the door to open, and then looked down at his feet. They were dressed in black-and-white graffiti DCs, which came up to dark blue Joe-Boxer pajama pants. His shirt was just a white wifebeater, covered by a heavy USA baseball sweatshirt- none other than the Boston Red Sox. Cale loved the Sox and the Pats, and still tried to catch the games even though football was something totally different in England. It kind of upset Cale- he hated soccer.
When Laila opened the door, Cale put his left hand on her stomach, and right on her back and pulled her close. He kissed her gently on the lips. "Hi." he whispered sweetly, before pulling away and going to take his place in the room. He figured he'd probably have to sleep away from the girls and on the floor for the night, but for now he didn't head right down. He jumped on what he thought was Laila's bed, a good-sized bed that they could all fit on if need be. He positioned himself in the center of the vast bed and winked at Laila. "This is definitely where I'm sleeping. In the middle of you two." Cale said flirtily, really starting to like that idea.[/blockquote]
