GENERAL PERSONALITY|| Lane doesn’t have much of a filter on his mouth. As a result he tends to frustrate other people, which is perfectly fine with him, and tends to get into fights. He does what he wants and doesn’t particularly care how others view him. Flirting is his thing, and he’ll flirt with anyone he finds attractive, and even people he doesn’t. He does have a kinder side to those he cares about, though it is difficult to find.

HISTORY|| On the outside it would seem that Lane’s family was perfect. That was the lie that the family wanted to portray. His father was a businessman that worked for a large marketing firm and consequently travelled often and was rarely home. When he was gone, Lane’s mother would take charge of the household with an iron fist, which hardly changed when Lane’s father was home. In fact, the only member of his family that he actually cared for was his little brother Elliot, whom he doted on.
Elliot was the pride and joy of the family and Lane made sure that he stayed that way. He did well in all of his classes and never toed out of line. Lane was the disappointment. Instead of studying he would go out and drink, partying with the bad crew in town. Although he had the sense to never do anything too bad, the police, much to the shame of his parents, would often drag him home because he was drunk or had been in a fight.
As he grew older Lane began to resent his parents more and more for treating him as if he were nothing and for the lies they would tell the neighbors. Everything had to be perfect, even though the world was crumbling around them. His parents had all but forced him to go to college, and the only reason he had gone was because his brother had asked him to.

Seph really needed a break off of his studies, and he was incredibly glad that Friday had finally rolled around. His current plans were to watch a show he had always wanted to with one of the new guys Brody. Brody was pretty awesome, like Seph was. They had hit it off fairly quickly joking around about random stuff. Soon enough he was going to be coming over to watch Merlin. He had already connected his laptop to the TV and Netflix, which he had just gotten an account to, was open. Seph liked to be prepared, so it was still a little bit before seven.
He looked over to the table in front of the couch. It was covered in books. That would need to be moved since Brody was bringing over snack foods. Picking them up he moved them over to a pile beside the couch. The piles were actually getting a bit messy. Seph would have to organize them before he left for break with Alex. Hearing a knock on the door, he carefully placed the final book on the small tower and bounded over to the door. Opening he smiled, “Welcome, and stood back to let Brody enter.
The other boy walked in, smiling, and greeted Seph good naturedly, “Well, hello there.” He looked over to the TV and saw that it was already set up to Netflix. “Antsy I see?”
“Meh,” he grunted. He was actually very excited, he had heard that the show was excellent. “I like to be ready, besides I was just reading most of the time anyway,”
It took Brody to notice the hundreds of books that were piled along the floor. He had heard from people that Seph liked books, but this was much more than he expected to see. It was kind of amazing to think that someone had read all of them.
